St Clair House is a privately owned residential care home for elderly people over 65

We offer both residential care and more specialist dementia care services.  St Clair also offers day care services including meals and therapy sessions.

We are a family owned business which looks after 4 further care homes in Cornwall. Mike and Christine Westmore have over 30 years’ experience in care in Cornwall and they now run the business with their 4 children, Amy, Mary, Anna and John.   

The Manager of the home is Tash Tresidder.  Tash has worked at St Clair since 2010 and was promoted to Manager in 2025.  Tash would be happy to answer any questions you may have.  Tash is supported by Allison Brown, the former Registered Manager of St Clair.  Both Tash and Allison are supported by a well-trained and experienced group of senior care staff,  junior care staff and a long standing and professional domestic team and fabulous cooks.

St Clair has been established for more than 30 years and has a great long standing local reputation. Positioned in the heart of the old mining town of Camborne, St Clair is very much part of the local community with most of our staff living close by. 

St Clair is a beautiful old, grade II listed, Georgian house which has been tastefully extended over the years.  There is a large, established and ​well-maintained garden to the rear and a large car park.  St Clair is fully equipped to meet all the needs of your loved ones.  We have a lounge, a sun lounge and a dining room.  We are registered for 25 residents, 19 single rooms and 3 double rooms. We have a lift and free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building.   

We are very aware of the difficulties of caring for loved ones when they become unable to look after themselves.  We offer all forms of care with trained and qualified staff to meet the needs of our residents. 

We respect our residents’ privacy, freedom, social, cultural and religious beliefs as much as we can whilst also providing a high standard of care for their physical, medical and emotional needs.
